Recent reports indicate that having a pet may lower the risk of allergies in children. Some bacteria present in pets is a factor that promotes the bodies of young children to build a “shield” that ends up protecting them from the development of allergies. This was reported in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. So, having a pet, especially a dog, if he right one is chosen, may be a positive factor for health.
