Window blind danger continues in the news. Young children can easily become tangled in window blind cords. They often cannot free themselves.
The American Academy of Pediatrics reports that more than 600 young children are treated in U.S. emergency departments each year for injuries related to window blinds, according to a new study.
Young children, especially toddlers, who use their new found mobility and curiosity, can easily become tangled in window blind cords. Often they cannot free themselves which may lead to strangulation and death.
Check for all possible hazards from window blinds and remove them if young children are in the home.
