William W. Lawrence Jr., MD, FAAP currently serves as a Regional Medical Director with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC). Lawrence is a native of Durham, NC and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Biology. He received his M.D. at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine and trained in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident.

Meggan, PhD, L.E., currently works nationally as a Pediatric Sleep Consultant and conducts workshops and support groups for mothers. She earned her doctorate in Psychology from Meridian University and her Masters in Psychology from the Sophia Institute. Subsequent trainings and certifications she has received are Lactation Educator, Psychosynthesis, Dora Kalff Sand-Play Therapy, Postpartum International Support Certification, and a two year internship with Dr. Angelique Millette, PhD focusing on pediatric behavioral sleep issues and maternal well-being.

Dr. Sandy Chung is a board-certified pediatrician practicing in Fairfax, Virginia. She has been named as an America’s Top Pediatrician and Washingtonian’s Top Doctors several years in a row and is on the teaching faculty of several medical schools in Washington, DC, and Virginia, including Georgetown University and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Sandy is President of Fairfax Pediatric Associates, and has had many leadership positions on boards and committees of national, state, and local organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth, the Medical Society of Virginia, and Connect Virginia.  She is author of “Dr. Sandy’s Top to Bottom Guide to Your Newborn: Answers to the Questions Every New Parent Asks”, writes a parenting blog and has published several child health articles.  As the proud mother of four wonderful children, her interests include reading, child advocacy, health information technology, enjoying great food, and trying new experiences.

Dr. Peggy Kruger Tietz is a licensed psychologist and social worker. She currently resides in Austin, Texas and has a private practice there. Prior to her move to Austin, Dr. Tietz had a private practice in Philadelphia, seeing couples, families and individuals, for over 30 years. Before developing her private practice she worked with children in multiple settings, such as family service agencies and foster care. She has trained and taught at the Family Institute of Philadelphia.

Her Ph.D. is in developmental psychology from Bryn Mawr College. She has advanced training in Play Therapy and is a certified practitioner of EMDR (eye movement desensitivation and reprocessing) Dr. Tietz sees a wide range of children, with normal developmental problems as well as those who have experienced trauma. She has conducted workshops on parenting, sibling relations and emotional literacy.

Karen Struble, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist practicing in Hillsborough, NC.  Her specialties include infant and child development, parent-child bonding, childhood grief recovery, and filial play therapy.  Dr. Struble is married with two young-adult children.

Dr. Laura Blanchard loves kids!  Currently, she serves as a general pediatrician with Piedmont Health Services in Burlington, NC, at both Charles Drew Community Health Center and Burlington Community Health Center.  Dr. Blanchard’s career as a public health pediatrician started in Raleigh, NC, at the Wake County Human Services Child Health Clinic, where she served for seven years.  She lives in Chapel Hill with her husband Matt and their two amazing children.
